Inner Beauty Contestant.

We all know that true beauty comes from within, and nowhere is this more evident than in the Corum Golden Bridge. Designed by the visionary watchmaker Vincent Calabrese, this piece invites you to look past surface-level glamour and delve into the heart of fine watchmaking.

Originally launched in 1980, the Golden Bridge broke away from traditional watch designs by putting the focus squarely on the movement—a skeletonized spectacle fully visible from both the front and back. Inside, the manual-winding caliber CO 113 is the star of the show. This is no ordinary movement—it's a true feat of horological engineering. The vertical layout, with the balance wheel, gears, and mainspring all aligned on this narrow "bridge", is not only aesthetically remarkable but also an incredible technical achievement. This caliber is hand wound by a clever latch-based winder located on the back, keeping the design sleek and uninterrupted.

The golden bridge axis is hand-engraved, with delicate carvings and arches that resemble Roman mouldings. Paired with a beveled sapphire crystal, light flows through effortlessly, highlighting every fine detail of the engraving. With a keen eye, you can even catch glimpses of the brilliant red jewels—used to reduce friction in the movement—that glisten like precious stones themselves.

"As light flows in, it chooses to dance with the golden bridge."

The rectangular case mirrors the shape of the movement within, emphasizing the verticality of the design. It’s a rare harmony between form and function, where the architecture of the watch is dictated by the movement itself, rather than the other way around.

To complete the look, the watch features a matching 18K gold buckle from Corum, ensuring this piece radiates luxury from every angle. The Golden Bridge is not just a watch—it’s a statement that real beauty is more than skin-deep.

This watch is in excellent condition.

The case still retains its beveled edges and the sapphire glass is clear with no visible markings or imperfections.

The movement engravings are crisp and deep.

The leather strap is in near mint condition.
