The Golden Trifecta.
Most of us have a favourite metal, and our jewellery collections tend to follow suit. This Piaget Emperador Mini gives you a little more freedom. Yellow, rose and white gold run together through its bracelet and dial, making it easy to mix what you already wear, or bring out a piece you’ve struggled to pair. That’s the beauty of the three-gold combination.
Launched in 1979, the Piaget Polo became a milestone for the brand, bringing case, dial and bracelet together in one continuous gold design. It helped define Piaget’s approach to the bracelet watch and became a signature of the era.
If you know the Polo, think of the Emperador as its heavier, more extravagant brother. The increased gold weight and distinctive pill-shaped links take that bracelet watch concept further. Here, those rounded forms repeat across all three gold colours, carrying the pattern straight through the dial with barely an interruption for the hands.
This 20mm Mini is the first tri-gold example we’ve come across, and “Mini” deserves some context. At a touch over 112 grams, it combines a slim profile with the satisfying density of a substantial gold bracelet.
Inside is Piaget’s manual-wind calibre 4P, while each bracelet link is individually screwed for sizing. Turn it over and the construction is as considered as the design on the front.
Cartier has Trinity and Rolex has Tridor. Piaget’s take gives you a beautifully made bracelet watch and a good reason to let the rest of your jewellery mingle.

Overall very good cosmetic condition, with little surface wear visible on close inspection.
