Time Up Your Sleeve.
Piaget has given us a very good reason to start wearing French cuffs again. This pair of 18k yellow gold cufflinks puts a mechanical watch on one sleeve and a matching green enamel companion on the other. Getting dressed suddenly involves winding your cufflink, which is precisely the sort of habit we could get used to.
Since starting Discreet Peacock, we’ve had an ongoing obsession with timekeeping beyond the wrist. Lighters, pendants, pins and miniature pocket watches have all passed through our collection. There’s something wonderfully appealing about a familiar object with a little horological surprise tucked inside, and these Piaget cufflinks are our first encounter with this particular combination.
Dating to circa the 1970s, the pair brings together green enamel and richly textured gold. The watch dial carries gold hour markers, hands and Piaget lettering, framed by a fluted surround that gives the small face plenty of detail. Its companion repeats the green enamel and gold treatment, keeping the pair visually matched without giving you two appointments to wind.
Inside the watch is Piaget’s manually wound calibre 6N, with winding and setting handled from the back. That arrangement keeps a crown off the side of the cufflink and allows the watch to blend naturally into the accessory. The dial, caseback and movement are signed Piaget, while blue sapphire cabochons finish the ends of the ribbed gold fastening bars. Even the parts tucked through your shirt have been given something to admire.
We haven’t encountered another pair like this, and finding one has already started a discussion about shirts, jackets and where we might wear them. Green enamel, yellow gold and a little blue sapphire give you plenty to work with. The next dinner reservation may require a trip to the tailor.

The pair is in exceptional overall condition, with little to no surface marks throughout.
The gold cases retain crisp, well-defined fluting.
The green enamel surfaces are beautifully preserved, with intact gold lettering and hour markers.

The manually wound calibre 6N is keeping accurate time.
