Built Like A Hive, Worn Like A Crown.

If you ever needed a reminder that a diamond is forever, this piece probably covers a few lifetimes.

Piaget in the late 1980s was operating in a very particular moment. Markets were running, evenings stretched longer, and dressing well carried real weight. Watches began stepping beyond utility and into something far more expressive. Piaget understood that shift early. They built pieces that could stand alongside high jewelry, and often replace it entirely.

This is that idea carried all the way through.

Start with the bracelet. Three rows of diamonds, tightly interlocked, forming a honeycomb pattern that feels as strong as it looks. Each stone is set closely enough that the surface moves as one, catching light from every possible angle. The jewelers at Piaget were clearly having fun here. With over 16.5 carats of diamonds, you could get married ten times and still have some left over.

The case follows without hesitation. An elongated oval framed by a full halo of diamonds that mirrors the density of the bracelet. Inside, the dial continues the same approach with a fully pavé surface, interrupted only by slender blued hands. Very little is left untouched, yet everything remains easy to read.

“Over 16.5 carats, arranged like a hive and finished like it answers to a queen.”

There’s also a detail most people miss.

The clasp release is hidden within the design itself. A single diamond, ever so slightly raised, acts as the pressure point. Press it down and the bracelet opens. It’s a clever solution that keeps the entire surface uninterrupted while doing exactly what it needs to do.

Inside sits the manual-wound caliber 4P, a smaller evolution of the well-known 9P, adapted for pieces like this without losing its mechanical integrity. Even in a watch that leans heavily into gem-setting, the movement still holds its ground.

On the wrist, it replaces the idea of stacking altogether. Or adds to it. Where today’s approach leans into layering multiple pieces, this does it in one gesture.

Overall condition is excellent with strong presence across case, bracelet, and stones.

The 18k yellow gold case remains full with crisp edges and well-preserved definition.

The diamond pavé dial is clean and intact with even stone setting throughout.

The caseback retains clear engravings and hallmarks consistent with production.

Hands are in excellent condition with deep blue tone, and crystal is clean.

The integrated diamond bracelet is in outstanding condition with secure structure and full articulation, fitting wrists up to 6.5 inches.

The manual-wound Piaget caliber 4P is running well.
