There are moments when we go down the horological rabbit hole and don’t particularly want to come back up. Lately, that tunnel has led us to bangle watches—and let’s just say we’re not mad about it. This one from Tiffany & Co. hit us like a well-placed exclamation point.
What you’re looking at is a marriage of form and function that doesn’t feel forced. The bracelet is a clean, rigid cuff of 18k white gold with yellow gold tips that look like they belong on a minimalist sculpture, not a wrist. And then, almost unexpectedly, the dial reveals itself—silver, discreet, and framed in more yellow gold. Two-tone, yes, but in a way that makes stainless steel feel like the third wheel at a black-tie dinner.
This is a French-made piece, both in manufacture and in spirit. You’ll catch the Made in France engraving on the back and “France” marked just below 6 o’clock, as if to remind you it probably eats better than you do. And if you squint at the caseback, Tiffany & Co. makes another appearance, engraved just above the serial number. Très bien.
The movement inside is a manually-wound Ebel Cal. 59 with 17 jewels, which means no noisy rotor, no battery, no drama. Even the crown is hidden, nestled out of sight so the clean lines of the cuff remain uninterrupted. You wind it from the back, like a secret handshake between you and the object.
The fit? Designed for wrists between 5.75 to 6.75 inches, with just enough flexibility to accommodate a range of wearers. Chic on a lady, striking on a gentleman who enjoys blurring lines. Let’s just say it doesn’t ask for attention—it assumes it already has it.
