The One I Kept.
Every collector has that one watch they secretly hope never sells.
This is mine.
I bought the same reference for my own collection long before this one arrived because I genuinely believe it's one of the finest bracelet watches Piaget ever made. After years of handling vintage jewelry watches from nearly every major maison, this remains the benchmark I compare everything else against.
The real trick isn't that Piaget tucked a watch inside a bracelet. It's that they made you forget the watch was ever there.
From across the room you're wearing a beautifully proportioned curb-link bracelet. Then someone notices the blued steel hands, leans in a little closer, and realizes the bracelet has been telling the time all along.
Piaget built this around a dense 78-gram 18k yellow gold curb-link bracelet with broad, bark-finished links across their flat tops. It has real substance in the hand, yet remains remarkably slim on the wrist. The concealed clasp disappears into the bracelet so completely that the design flows uninterrupted from one end to the other.
At its center sits a tiny 10mm champagne sunburst dial with painted indexes and blued steel hands. The crown is hidden on the back of the case, leaving the bracelet uninterrupted from every angle. Inside beats Piaget's legendary ultra-thin manually wound calibre 2P, wound through the caseback as the brand intended.
Pieces like this were never produced in large numbers. Only around 25 examples are believed to have left Piaget between 1966 and 1969, making this one of the brand's rarest integrated bracelet watches. This example also carries the mark of Georges Lohac, Piaget's official importer for France beginning in 1956, whose Paris workshop on Rue Lafayette handled some of the maison's most desirable creations of the era. It was later featured on page 100 of Franco Cologni's Piaget: Watchmakers and Watchmaking Wonders, exactly where a watch this elusive belongs.
I also love how comfortably this piece slips between worlds. On one wrist it feels like something a sharply dressed Parisian would wear while running errands on a Saturday morning. On another, it channels pure Tony Soprano energy with an open-collar shirt and a roll of cash in the back pocket. Somehow it belongs equally well in both stories, which is exactly why I think it's one of Piaget's greatest bracelet designs.
And yes... I'd happily buy another one.

Overall, the watch presents in excellent vintage condition with exceptionally crisp finishing throughout.
The rectangular 18k yellow gold case retains very sharp edges with beautifully preserved bark finishing and minimal signs of wear.
The original champagne sunburst dial remains exceptionally clean with painted indexes and signed Piaget print.
The caseback retains crisp reference and serial engravings.
The blued steel hands remain excellent and the crystal is clean.
The integrated 18k bark-finished curb-link bracelet remains exceptionally sharp with a secure concealed clasp and fits wrists up to approximately 6.8–6.9 inches.
The manually wound Piaget calibre 2P back-winding movement has been tested and is running as expected.
