The Age Of Organic Design.
Walk into a beautifully furnished home in the mid-1970s and you start noticing a pattern.
The coffee table isn't square. The mirror isn't round. The lamp bends where logic says it shouldn't. Everything feels a little stretched, a little softer, a little more expressive.
Designers were fascinated by organic forms. Furniture looked poured rather than assembled. Jewelry abandoned rigid shapes and began to flow. Watches followed.
This Tiffany & Co. watch feels like it belongs exactly in that world.
At first glance, the dial almost disappears. Not because it's small, but because your eye is immediately drawn to the shape surrounding it. The case swells outward into an elongated oval with four soft points, creating something that feels part watch, part jewel. That same motif repeats throughout the bracelet, link after link, giving the entire piece a sense of continuity that many bracelet watches never quite achieve.
The result is remarkably cohesive. Rather than a watch attached to a bracelet, it feels like a single object that happens to tell time.
Crafted entirely from 18k yellow gold, the bracelet stretches to 18.5cm and weighs approximately 87 grams. The mirror-finished gold dial is the watch's secret weapon. In direct light it reflects like a polished piece of jewelry, pulling in the colours and movement around it. Turn your wrist slightly and the dial can shift from bright gold to nearly black, acting more like a mirror than a traditional dial. It gives the watch a constantly changing appearance, making the same piece feel different from one moment to the next.
Among vintage collectors, Chopard remains one of the most underappreciated creative forces of the era. While much of the attention falls on Piaget, Chopard was producing equally imaginative work during the 1960s and 1970s. Their designs often pushed further into organic forms and unconventional proportions, which makes pieces like this feel remarkably fresh today.
This elliptical design is a perfect example.
The Tiffany & Co. signature is central to the story. Throughout the twentieth century, Tiffany partnered with many of Switzerland's finest manufacturers, commissioning watches for its clientele and curating collections that reflected its own taste. This design came from Chopard, one of the era's most creative houses, and was selected to sit under the Tiffany banner. The pairing feels entirely natural.
The watch itself feels surprisingly modern despite being nearly half a century old. The open bracelet structure has a visual lightness, while the gold weight reminds you that this is very much a serious piece of jewelry. It sits somewhere between a cuff, a bangle, and a watch, which is precisely why it remains so compelling.
You can easily imagine it worn alongside a chunky gold ring by an architect in Manhattan circa 1978. You can just as easily imagine it today paired with a sculptural cuff, oversized gold earrings, or nothing more than a black cashmere sweater and a good sense of taste.

The watch presents in excellent vintage condition with strong overall definition throughout the case and bracelet.
The 18k yellow gold case has light surface wear consistent with age and careful use.
The mirror-finished gold dial remains clean and attractive with Tiffany & Co. signature and Swiss Made designation clearly visible.
The caseback retains its reference and serial engravings, and the interior clasp is stamped 18K gold.
The hands remain in excellent condition and the sapphire crystal shows light signs of wear commensurate with age.
The integrated bracelet remains strong with excellent articulation and a wearable length of approximately 18.5cm.
The manual-wind movement is running well at the time of cataloguing.
